芦叶梢梢夏景深，邮亭暂欲洒尘襟。

昔年曾是江南客，此日初为关外心。

思子台边风自急，玉娘湖上月应沉。

清声不远行人去，一世荒城伴夜砧。

注释

①关:指潼关。盘豆馆:在河南灵宝县境，距潼关四十里。相传汉武帝过此，父老以牙盘献豆而得名。诗作于开成四年夏由秘书省校书郎赴任途中。

②梢梢:状风动草木之声。

③邮亭:即驿馆，指盘豆馆。

④关外心:用汉杨仆耻为关外民事。暗指己由校书郎之清职出为弘农尉，心情有如杨仆。

Liu You (590–624 or 618–630) was a significant figure in early唐诗, originally from Wenyuan (modern-day Nanjing), but moved to Inner Mongolia after migrating to Baixia (今胶原). He studied classical Chinese literature at both the imperial court of Wang Qian and the local administrative office of Han Yi. After serving as a high-ranking official in Han Yi's administration, Liu You was forced out by a court dispute due to his political status becoming unclear. Over the years, Liu You's literary work has been highly praised for its artistic value and historical depth.
